Feeling betrayed by someone trusted

You wrote

Someone I trusted did something that really hurt me. I keep going between anger and sadness. Part of me wants to confront them and part of me just wants to pretend it didn't happen. I don't know how to process it because I didn't expect it from them.

It must be incredibly disorienting to feel hurt by someone you trusted, especially when you didn't see it coming. The swing between wanting to confront them and wishing it away sounds exhausting.
